Staying in Tahoe Vista was an amazing experience. I still feel like they have the best water views and we went around all Lake Tahoe but that’s just my personal opinion.

Seems like a pretty decent place to launch. I don’t have a lot of experience with these things, but the attendants are helpful and the view is lovely. The ramp is fairly easy to access, not too steep, and sheltered by jetties from the brunt of the wind and waves (which **totally saved me** when I had to pull my boat out the other day). The lines haven’t been long when I have been there. Only complaint is that you have to park trailers in a lot up the street (not a huge deal) and they often close at three (which makes it interesting - in my haste I could not find the place I was supposed to pay to park the trailer… expecting to find some kind of notice in the mail 🫣). You can buy a season pass or pay by the launch but per regs you do of course have to arrive Tahoe inspected and sealed.

It's not too deep, so it's a great place for swimming, kayaking and boating. 🛶🏊‍♂️ …

Went this past week before the stay at home order was put in effect. Such an amazing view and great place to decompress. Would be a great spot to snag early during the summer!

If you are looking for a sandy beach with restrooms, plaza, roped swim area, and boat launch, you might want to check out Tahoe Vista Recreation Area! It is located on the north shore of Lake Tahoe and offers a shady picnic grove with clusters of tables. However, if you are more interested in snow activities like sledding, snowshoeing, or skiing, you might want to explore other nearby areas that have more snowfall and trails.

It's a nice beach, the sand is super fine, it got in everywhere and in everything!!! The water is warm here and really shallow, you can walk a long way out till you get to the boats and still the water is not deep. There is parking on the street if you can find a spot or across the street there is a parking lot you can pay for a spot. Overall a nice place to chill at, not for me because I love swimming near the rocks!! Thank you

Lucky because it wasn't too crowded. They have two lanes for staging but only one boat can launch at a time. Also have a great side pier so that when you launch your boat you can wait while the boat trailer is parked across the street. Very friendly staff. Love this area!

Clean beach with a nice parking lot and decent restrooms. This is an overall smaller beach, with not a lot of sand territory for beach goers who like to spend time on the sand. This is a great swimming and water paddle sport area and there is a kayak/paddle board rental area right on the beach.
